Red Oak for Timber Production

Commonly called northern red oak or champion oak and isnative to North America, Northeastern United States and Southeast Canada. It isimportantly used in North America for Timber production.
Red OakWood has an open grain that smoke can even be blown through it, people useclear finishes to preserve its color, pinkish hue. It has nice bondingcapabilities but its tannic acid can cause black stains. It is widely used for construction inflooring, veneer, interior trim, and most of all furniture.
Red OakWood’s decay resistance is low, so it makes it unsuitable for outdoor use likein boatbuilding or in exterior trim.
